Carbon Peel (Hollywood Peel) in Chicago

A carbon peel (also called a Hollywood Peel or carbon laser facial) applies a thin layer of liquid carbon to the face. Carbon is highly absorbent and draws oil, dirt, and dead skin cells out of the pores. A laser then passes over the skin — the light energy is attracted to the dark carbon and vaporizes it instantly, taking the debris with it. Chemical peels use acids (glycolic, salicylic, TCA) to exfoliate the skin surface — they work through a chemical reaction and often cause visible flaking or peeling afterward. Carbon peel uses laser energy to physically vaporize the skin surface and pore contents — no peeling, no acids, no downtime. Carbon peel is better for oily and acne-prone skin.
